3. Write a compelling and enticing headline. In fact, you might want to use a question as a headline. Research have shown that you will have a higher click through rate to your MLM blog post if you do not use punctuation at the end of your headline.

Use an image as well… Why? Because again you will get a higher click through rate to your post.

It all sounded GREAT! To be part of this cruise all I needed to do was buy a ticket of at least 5000 Euros and my journey with the company could start.

And so I did, I was really excited and ready to board my cruise ship towards success! But when I entered the ship… Nobody was there! What I had done was buy myself into a lifeboat.

I was floating on the fast MLM ocean all by myself! The people who would be there to help me weren’t there. I could get training but that would cost me about 200 Euro a month to be part of a training center. And all they did teach was, buy sample boxes from the company (for just 100 euros a box) and give them away to everybody who came within 3 feet of me. Talk to family, friends, neighbors and drag them to the opportunity meetings. Buy leads, buy more sample boxes, talk to more people, place ads in newspapers and buy more sample boxes.

But when I asked what I should say to people I met, they couldn’t tell me. When I screamed for help they just let me drift away in my lifeboat…

After struggling a few years without any results I hit the rocks and stranded on a desert island, still alone and with no clue on how to build my business. In search for the skills I turned to my upline again… but they still wouldn’t help me, so I started searching on the internet. There I found a few people who told me they could help me, but in order for them to help me I had to pay them from 500 Euros up to 7500 Euros.

It drove me crazy, I was highly frustrated and I was about ready to quit and give up. As my last resort I downloaded a few ebooks with information about the industry. Most of them were ways to trick me in some kind of training deal where I again had to pay a lot of money to receive some training.

Secondly, if you want to build your MLM/Network Marketing business for the long haul, then you want to write about things that matter and resonate most with you, in other words your strengths and passion. This combination will be your business advantage.

3. Always aim for quality. The quality depends very much on the time and effort you put into that MLM blog post. I believe it takes at least a few days to make an unique, useful and compelling article.

Remember to always spell- and grammar check your post. Here is two great free online resources you can use:

http://spellcheckplus.com/ and http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/

4. Target long tail keywords. Because the competition is usually not so fierce and they are a heck lot more specific, which means that you give people what they’re asking for. An example: it is easier to rank high on Google with “big al schreiter pdf” than just the keyword “MLM”.

5. Finally, brainstorm and get feedback on your online MLM marketing strategies. I highly recommend that you might want to be part of an online global MLM Master Mind group to get weekly feedback and also a personal one-on-one free MLM coaching.

Just having a great blog post is not enough to make you successful with your MLM business online. You have to get the word out. In other words promote your blog post on Facebook, Twitter, bookmarking sites e t c to get more backlinks/”votes”.

As a result you will over time climb onthe Google latter to get higher rankings and position. Plus targeted hungry MLM clients.

The bottomline:

Take action, get feedback, improve it and keep moving. Why? Because real success comes from taking action, getting feedback on that action, and then modifying your next steps based on the feedback.

How to Call MLM Leads / Clients, Checklist

1. Congratulations, you got a new MLM client!

2. Call your client. You might not want to call if your client lives in a country where your company doesn’t operate and/or you don’t want to pay for high phone costs. You can always communicate with these clients using Skype, FB message and email.

3. Take your clients email and/or full name and add her/him as a friend on FB and as a new Skype contact. If you don’t like your clients FB profile, then don’t add her/him. You can find more contact information using Google as well.

4. Send your first email to your client plus FB and Skype message.

5. Get a small card, for example the backside of a business card. Write down: Call (Name), Date, Country, Time difference, If FB + Skype added, email1 sent and other info.

6. Have you called your client yet?

7. Archive your clients contact info card to the next day in a GTD (Get Things Done) folder filing cabinet system.

8. Second day: Call your client. (If no answer day 1)

9. Send your second email to your client, if voice message or not answered e t c… Plus FB and Skype message.

10. Archive your clients contact info card to the next day in a GTD (Get Things Done) folder filing cabinet system.

11. Third day: Call your client. (If no answer day 2)

12. Send your third email to your client, if voice message or not answered e t c… Plus FB and Skype message.

13. If you did not recieve a phone call and/or email back, then “forget” this client. But if your client accepted your FB and/or Skype request then give her/him a call every month…

Online MLM Prospecting Challenge

Most MLMers would prefer to be part of a flourishing online MLM team and also a global MasterMind group.

Just imagine now, that you got a client showing an interest working and creating an on the net MLM business globally together with you…

And now what?

The truth of the matter is that you would like a new business partner.

It could be a challenge to call this client. Why? For the reason that it can be tricky to know whether or not the individual you get involved with will likely be the appropriate one.

Nobody is flawless, but you’ll find specific signs that may allow you to make a better selection. Critical and imaginative thinking will assist you to assess if this MLM prospect is correct for you.

1. Do the two of you share, generally speaking, the same views of life? Your values will ascertain how your lives and time are shared. Though you don’t require to agree on every thing, the more there’s alignment within your core views, the simpler life is going to be.

Do your client believe in developing an MLM business mostly on line? How strong is the business partner’s desire/hunger to succeed?

For example… You might choose to tell him/her “The Restaurant Story”:

Picture that you are opening a nearby restaurant. Will you make an instant profit? No. It may take you one year, two years, three years, five years or even 10 years of hard work just before you make a profit. Why? Due to the fact you would like to make raving fans by studying the best way to cook and give superb personal service.

You also choose to discover exactly where to advertise and acquire marketing, copywriting, people- and communication skills e t c. That takes time to find out and apply, if you don’t pretty much already have those abilities.

And also remember to ask your client…

Are you willing to perform hard… Perhaps one year, two years, three years, five years or even 10 years prior to you see a substantial result in your global mostly on the net MLM enterprise?

And… Is it worth it?

2. How does the person deal with disagreements? Professional partners have conflicts. What’s critical is how the client manages the dispute. Is the person respectful vs. shutting down or not addressing the concern? A great relationship entails each and every partner feeling heard and meeting the other individual’s demands. How about open to feedback for improvements?

3. How does your mlm prospect act with other people? How does the client treat people today like his family and friends?

4. Do you get a sense that what you believe and genuinely feel matters?

5. Does the individual act responsibly? Does the client follow through on what he/she tells you? I believe in ultra bold, upfront and straightforward communication and that means that you could possibly choose to tell your client this…

“You will not fail or succeed because of me.”

Conclusion:

Your quest is to get hold of an mlm prospect that can think, have a sense of humor, believe in him/herself and will not stop his/her effort until the client succeed.

Of course I have a dream… For a long time I’ve had a strong reason WHY to build an MLM business. But somehow that wasn’t enough to succeed. Maybe it was my motivation that failed? Or was I just plain lazy?

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I’m a quite nice guy, sometimes people tell me I’m a good listener. I’m not the kind of person who immediately grabs everyone’s attention when walking into a room, but not overly shy either.

The first time I joined an MLM company I did everything by the book. Some friends and relatives bought my products mostly to be nice to me. A few even joined the company. But since neither I nor my uplines could offer them any good coaching on how to build a business, all but my mother quit after a while. I tried a couple of times to change companies, but with the same poor results.

Quest: Threatening myself with rotten herring…

I started to contact strangers at the supermarket with a well rehearsed catchy phrase, but had to threaten myself with rotten herring (a Swedish specialty, some people actually eat it) to bring myself to it. That kept my motivation up for a while, but can you guess how many people I actually signed?

Yeah, almost nobody.

And I most certainly didn’t feel comfortable with that way of recruiting business partners. I’m just NOT that super outgoing salesperson who loves convincing and converting other people.

You can have the best online mlm system in the world, but it will be useless unless you work the system and measure your strategy scientifically…

Are You Leaving Lots of Money on The Table?

We all want more hungry targeted MLM clients and by measuring your online mlm strategy you will work smarter and not harder.

If you don’t measure it scientifically, then how can you improve it?

One thing you can measure on your MLM blog is your splash/squeeze/opt-in page.

How?

By split testing two pages, for example A and B, you can measure over time which one of those gets you more clients.

You can use a free tool like Google Analytics and what you do is put a tracking code on page A opt-in page and email confirmation page. You will do the same on page B, as a result you will have a total of 4 tracking codes.

Preferable you want to have at least 100 unique visitors overtime, because it will be more accurate.

Alright, now you have 100 unique visitors on each page… Take the number of email confirmations on page A and divide that with 100.

Do the same with page B.

Voilà, now you have for instance 12,7% opt-in conversion rate on page A and 26% on page B!

And the winner is… Page B! Use that page as default. You can do this system again. Why? Because you might want to improve it even more.

If you don’t believe that here is how you can conquer Google and SEO, enjoy!

1. Use on-page relevancy. Which means that your keywords match your title tag and also mention your keyword phrases somewhere on your blog post.

Plus always remember to have a headline title that appeals to MLM prospects. In fact, you might want to use a question as a headline. Research have shown that you will have a higher click through rate to your blog post if you do not use punctuation at the end of your headline.

2. Use your keywords in the url.

Url what?

URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. A URL is a text string used by Web browsers e t c to identify a network resource on the Internet.

For example:

http://MLM-Prospects.net/MLM-EBOOK-tom-big-al-schreiter

Can you see that the keyword phrase in the url above is MLM EBOOK?

3. At last, create a lots and lots of backlinks.

Backlinks?

Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. As a result you will get increased traffic and overtime search engine ranking (where your site will appear on a search engine/Google),

Why?

Because, search engines/Google often use the number of backlinks that a website has as one of the most important factors for determining that website’s search engine ranking, popularity and importance.

However, not all backlinks have the same value. As a matter of fact, there are a few factors that you need to be aware of…

* You want your backlinks to have the right anchor text.

The anchor text, link label or link text is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink and it’s often blue/red and underlined. If you click on that a new web page will appear.

Keep in mind to use different keyword phrases in your backlinks.

Maybe you want to have three different keywords as anchor text. For example, mlm ebook, big al ebook, big al e books free e t c.

Why have different keywords as anchor text backlinks?

Because, google might see it as link spam and you might throw a red flag if you only have one keyword phrase. So be sure that you vary the link text some.

* You want your backlinks to come from a variety of diverse locations.

The bottom line is that you want to make sure that your links are geographically wide-spread globally and from different hosts.

* You want to get a lots of backlinks slowly overtime.

Robert Klinga – The Big Bunny Race

Once upon a time there was an ambitious little bunny rabbit called Fluffy. Fluffy’s biggest dream in life was to win “the Big Bunny Race” in a large rabbit town nearby. Fluffy’s dream occupied her thoughts day and night – she could actually feel in her legs how it would be like to cross the finish line with the crowd cheering her on. There was but one catch, the competition was for teams only.

“Well, how hard can it be?” Fluffy thought. “I’ll just need to convince three rabbits to start training with me.” Fluffy had, as rabbits tend to have, quite a few brothers and sisters and was well-liked among her many friends. So, she went out to find some rabbits for her team.

Fluffy told all her siblings and friends about the huge truck load of carrots the winners of the race would get. She described how sweet the carrots would taste, how crunchy they would feel and how delightful they would smell. She also pointed out how all the other rabbits would look up to them if they won. Then Fluffy told them participating would not be hard for them at all. “Come on, I mean jumping and running? That’s what we rabbits do every day. It’ll just take a little bit of practise, I’ll help you.”

Finally Fluffy managed to convince a younger sister, her brother in law and a distant cousin to join. Fluffy decided the team should meet each morning for an hour of work-out before breakfast. The first week went well, the rabbits thought it was quite fun to run and jump around with Fluffy. Next week her sister started to complain a bit. “It’s almost three months left. You don’t REALLY expect us to practise every morning until then, do you?” Fluffy was able to shut her up by once again making a speak about all the carrots and all the honour they would gain.

But for every week it got a bit tougher to motivate the team. Fluffy soon had to wake them in the mornings, drag them out of bed and cheer and praise every little hop they accomplished. She started to bring baby carrots along to practise to improve their motivation and she even painted three carrot posters to put above her team members beds. By the end of the second month, Fluffy was exhausted.

One morning when it had been especially difficult to bribe her team members to practise, she just couldn’t take it anymore. “Your lazy fox feed,” she snapped. “If you don’t practise hard, you will never full fill your dreams!”

The other rabbits looked at each other. Fluffy’s cousin was the first to speak. “Well Fluffy, you’ve always been nice to me and all and I’d really like to help you, but running in front of so many rabbits seems a bit scary to me.” Fluffy’s brother in law filled in: “And really, I don’t need that many carrots. Eating grass is good enough for me.” Fluffy’s little sister added: “I thought you said this would be easy. I won’t do it anymore, I quit! I never dreamed of winning any races until you persuaded me.”

Fluffy didn’t win “the Big Bunny Race” that year. But since this is a fairytale and such are supposed to have happy endings… Fluffy moved into the big town, joined a runner’s club and eventually teamed up with other rabbits that, just like herself, loved running and jumping and shared Fluffy’s dream of truck loads full of carrots.

Michael Dlouhy: Well, It’s the lifeblood of your business It makes no sense if you bring 3 000 people a month in to your business and 1 300 are leaving and going out of the backdoor. That is what I call it… churn and burn. You want to keep people… and the secret is to having products that people would buy without a compensation plan attached to it… so you create loyal customers… that they would buy the products no matter what… this is what creates that residual-walk-away income when you quit building… when you quit coming in and doing the business… the checks keeps coming in, because you created loyal customers.

Comparing MLM To Other Business Models

The following is an excerpt from “Success in 10 Steps” paperback version

A good buddy of mine sent me some stats. Some guy wrote a
report that says 60% of the people who join MLM never make
any money.

My friend did some research. Real estate agents spend about
$1000 to go to school, plus $250-$500 for a license. And 60%
quit without ever selling a single home.

Life insurance agents spend months in on-the-job training and
must pass an exam in most states. More than 60% only sell
ONE life insurance policy, and that is to themselves.

Three mortgage brokers who employ loan officers told me that
after months of study, on-the-job training, and taking the test,
30%-80% of loan officers drop out withour ever earning a
commision.

A friend of mine ran Kirby vacuum crews. After weeks of
training, the dropout rate was 90% in the first 2 weeks.

Eighty to 90% of new car salespeople drop out without ever
making a sale. Call your local car dealer.

So in just about any sales field, 60% or more drop out. And
just about the same number of people drop out of college their
freshman year, after spending $5,000 – $10,000 of Mom &
Dad’s money. A friend of mine sent his daughter to medical
transcription school for $2,500 and 3 months of her life. She
transcribed 10 tapes.

As they say, if it was easy, everybody would do it. Most
people will ALWAYS fail, whether it’s MLM, real estate, life
insurance, door-to-door sales, or even going to college.

They key is to understand the landscape so you can put yourself
in the best position to be successful. You can have a realistic
chance for MLM success if you understand what features you
should look for in an MLM company.

Success in 10 Steps Book ― Linda and Michael Dlouhy

Does Your Company’s Business Model Stop Retailing?

In Companies A & B, ordering online is complicated. Almost
nobody does it. So both kept hiring order-takers. Company B
brags about their 400 employees answering the telephone and
taking orders. What is the monthly cost of 400 employees?
Let’s say they’re paying $10 an hour, plus social security,
workman’s comp, disability insurance, sick days, holidays…
so it’s really $20 an hour.

Managers probably get $20 and hour … double that to $40.
They’re in a building. Figure mortgage, power, phone, air
conditioning, probably 200 computers, etc.

With more humans, you’ll have more problems, so you’ll
need more customer service. You need more employees to fix
the mess-ups of the humans.

Nice business model.

The Model That Encourages Retail Sales

Company C has a 95% online order system, plus a few
operators who handle both customer service and customers
who don’t want to order online. You place the order online.
with your address and credit card info. Fewer mistakes, so you
don’t need as many customer service people.

Company A and Company B have sky-high overhead, but
here’s what they say: “Our price is $80 because our product is
the best. Rare and expensive blind leprechauns harvest the
mold off the rock every other full moon.”

Or it’s their superduper special ingredient that no one else has.
They have to say something to convince the distributor base
that the $80 price is actually a good value.

If You Can’t Retail, What’s Left?

Is this model clear? Do you understand why Company A &
Company B have such a hard time selling that product?

So this business model drives behavior in the field of recruit,
recruit, recruit. But Company C, with the latest technology,
doesn’t have nearly the overhead. So they sell the identical
product for half the price.

Companies A & B can’t get customers, so they have to
recruit distributors. So people have to pay money to
become a distributor to then buy the product for $80,
the wholesale price. But … is that a fair price?

The more you look at compensation plans and companies
and company owners, the more you realize that the
business model drives the behavior in the field.

This is why so many people fail in network marketing.

If the cards are stacked against you from the start, you won’t
be able to compete in the marketplace.

Business models drive behavior in the field

You may be in a company that drives unsuccessful behavior in
the field. I don’t want to hurt your feelings, or to tell you
you’ve wasted months or years of your life. On the other hand,
if I was struggling, I wish somebody thought enough of me to
tell me why I can’t get it going.

So how does the business model drive the behavior in the
field? Think about this in a compensation plan.

Compensation Plan Breakage

Compensation Plan “Breakage” is money that, according to
the comp plan, appears to go to the distributors. But for a
variety of reasons, this money instead reverts back to the
company itself. Here’s a real scenario.

You have Companies A, B, & C. (These are real companies,
but unnamed for obvious reasons.):

Company A ― huge company, publicly traded.
Company B ― also huge, as big as Company A, many years in
the business, not publicly traded.
Company C ― been around about 5 years, not nearly as big in
dollar volume or in number of reps as A or B.

Let’s look at the difference in behavior that these business
models drive in the field, with regard to breakage.

First, let’s agree on one point: if you check 20 successful,
experienced, proven companies, all selling identical products
with identical ingredients, you’ll find their product wholesale
cost is probably within pennies of each other.

OK.

Companies A, B & C sell an identical amazing product.

Company A’s version retails for $116.
Company B has the same product, at $104 retail.
Company C has the same product, at $40 retail.
Again those are all retail prices.

So what behavior is driven in the field with companies A & B?
Do you think distributors can sell product at that price?

You’d probably agree, it would be a tough sell.

“Wow. There’s a real problem with the business model.”

Why? Because if I talk to 100 network markteters and ask,
“Have you ever sold a product to your mother, father, best
friend … at retail? Or do you always sell it to them at
wholesale?” 99% of the time they say, “wholesale price.”

Why? Because …

1. The product is too expensive.
2. They don’t feel right making money off of mom & dad.
They brought you into the world ― just sell to them at
wholesale, or give it to them.

Result? For companies A & B, there is NO retail activity
going on, because the products are too expensive.

So … what behavior does that drive?

That’s easy ― sign up to be a distributor!

Company B is not publicly traded like Company A. But B’s
business model (set up in pre-internet days) was excellent
personalized customer service.

Company C, formed just a few years ago, created an
automated model without all the phone operators, About 97%
their orders are placed online.

Result? Companies A & B have very high overhead.
Personnel, training, salaries, benefits, workman’s comp, etc.,
etc., run about $2 million a month.

Company B’s product wholesale price is $80.

How can Company C retail the same product for $40? Much
lower overhead.

Again, what happens in the field? A & B reps cannot retail
product. So they resort to recruit, recruit, recruit.

Some new reps will always try to retail. But they soon realize
their price is way too high. Consumers scoff. The reps loose
interest ― their heart isn’t in it anymore, and they’re gone.

In her book, If My Product’s So Great, How Come I Can’t Sell It?,
Kim Klaver says that when you talk to 100 targeted
people, you’ll get 10 retail sales and 1 distributor.

Now, Company A & Company B have overhead so high, they
have to charge $80, where Company C is charging $40 for the
identical product…”

If a company is publicly traded, financial decisions will
be made in favor of the stockholders at the expense
of the distributors.

“If The Business Model Doesn’t Fit Your Personality, You Will Fail

OK. I think we have a very clear picture of breakage and compensation plans and what behavior that drives. Now, let’s look at a compensation plan against a personality type.

Let’s say you’re a Yellow personality, the loving, giving, caring, nurturing person. You want to work deep, deep, deep in your organization, to help people. And your company has a stairstep-breakaway compensation plan. Let’s say it’s $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $5,000 … increments like that.

For the amazing closer – the one who can sell ice to an Eskimo – that $3,000 or $5,000 package is nothing. They’ll sell those all day long, because they are a saleperson.

But Yellow – the nurturer – they can’t even ask the person for the money because they’re thinking. “Ohmigosh, that’s a lot of money. If they don’t sell this stuff, they’ll have a lot of debt on their credit card. I don’t want to be responsible for putting debt on their card. Oh no oh no oh no!”

That’s what is going on in their head when they’re talking to the prospect. So if you are a Yellow and you get into the sales arena with the Red, you will lose every time.

So here’s the other business model: MLM compensation plans are designed for certain personality Colors! A stairstep-breakaway plan will never work for the Yellow. NEVER … because it goes against them.

Several years ago we met a lady coming up on retirement. She’d spent 5 or 6 years trying to build a network marketing downline. She was a Yellow Schoolteacher, nurturing, caring, late ’50s or early ’60s. She had tried 3 different MLM companies, and all 3 had stairstep-breakaway compensation plans. It was amazing!

She struggled to build a business that went against her personality. She switched companies to a compensation plan that suited the Yellow personality, and suddenly, she had success. Within 2 years, she was full-time, debt-free.

So again, the business model only works for certain personalities. If you’re not having success in network marketing, you need to figure out your personality type – get Powerful Networking Secrets or the Color To Success CD. Read the ebook, listen to the CD, figure out your personality, then get some coaching or mentoring on “Does this compensation plan work for YOU?”

The Eagle and The Oyster

Once there were two eggs discussing what they
wanted to be when they hatch. The first egg said, “I want
to be an oyster when I hatch. An oyster just sits in the water.
It has no decisions to make. The currents of the ocean
move it about, so it doesn’t have to plan. The ocean water
that passes by is its food. Whatever the ocean provides is
what the oyster may receive, no more, no less. That’s the
life for me. It may be limited, but there are no decisions,
no responsibilities, just a plain existence controlled by the
ocean.”

The second egg said, “That’s not the life for me. I
wish to be an eagle. An eagle is free to go where he wants
and do as he pleases. Sure he is responsible for hunting his
own food and making survival decisions, but he is free to
fly as high as the mountains. The eagle is in control, not
controlled by others. I wish no limits placed on me. I do
not wish to be a slave of the ocean. For this I am willing
to pay the effort required to live the life of an eagle.”

There are two types of people in the world those who let the life go pass and remain slaves of the ocean forever and those who stop and realise that life has so much much more to give and create the life they really want and deserve to live now.
